French Doors of Bayonne II SEE @ LOFA 6/23-6/25
15x11 Watercolor and gesso juice painting, double matted and framed 20 x 16. This is the 2nd in my series of doors from our visits to France. I've been anxious to put my photos to the canvas because it meant to much to us to find the one of the Nadal ancestors from the 1800's several places of residence during their life time. The gold plating industry is still active on this street as it was back then. I embellished the grate on the door to reflect the industry. The walls may be worn from the elements but the street still stands as it did back then.
