The Gesso Juice provides the overall background design created and added texture to the painting using a special designed roller. The doors of Zanzibar are very famous and I am lucky enough to have photos taken by a family member visiting there. There is an intrigue about doors in general but some of the hardware over time becomes as important as the door itself.
