On our first trip to France we had a very quick visit to Avignon before returning to Paris. A tour guide suggested our route and this was one of the photos which captured the essence of that walled city
.
It was a happy surprise when I saw that the lady stirred up three pigeons as she approached us.
This Batik technique alternates masking and painting of 4 layers from the lightest to the darkest colors used. The lightest area were then painted with watercolor to bring even more transparent light to the focal point.
