Rainbow Colors in the Fall Forest NFS while jurying for Emerald Spring Exhibition
15 x 22 Painting on 300 lb Arches Cold Press. This forest scene started with a technique I'll write more about in my blog this week using fresh paint deliberately placed on glass and damp watercolor paper placed over the glass and smoothed out for a brief minute or two. Letting this dry I then began to develop the trunks using watercolor. I then added conte crayons to the trunks. The leaves and branches were a combination of both. I loved how it turned out. I haven't used pastels since I was 12.
