Watercolor Sealed 12 x 12 x 2 hardwood cradle
It is always a pleasure to paint for the Annual Fund Raiser at OSA, particularly this year. Painting on a hardwood panel adds to the workload of having to seal the wood from the watercolors but this time I used watercolor grounds to do this. It brings some different textures to the surface which added to the textural nature of the stone and water.
We were traveling to Yosemite several years ago and stayed in a motel in Modesto which had this wonderful garden and koi pond in the center of the outside area. It was a great photo opportunity to paint a favorite subject.
