Fall Colors in the Forest NFS while jurying for Emerald Spring Exhibition
Watercolor on 300 lb hot press 14 x 11 Framed 23 1/2 x 19.
The intensity of the colors was achieved using a technique called "pressing" using concentrated fresh pigments on the wetted surface of the paper. The trees had been masqued. The contrast of the background colors with the white bark of the Oregon birch trees is what I wanted to achieve. Most viewed painting on my website the last two years.
