Welcome to my website
The "hot" days of summer are here in Portland and certainly sending artists out early to paint plein aire or cyclists to get their ride in early. Our veggie garden is producing slowly but we are reaping the harvest for our "cool" meals at night. Thank heavens for AC so I can paint in my studio or elsewhere in the house. Lots of festivals in the summertime in our area and most of us have survived the heat and we are thankful for the visitors who still came out to see and purchase some art.
The 21 days of the Tour de France took up a lot of my time and it was amazing as usual for these professionals to endure the environment and the stress of the competition for so many days. I have some new favorites that I would like to give credit to by painting them in action and of course, Geraint Thomas for keeping the "Yellow Jersey" for so many days and winning it in Paris--First Welchman to win the Tour. So keep your eye out for these paintings over the next several months. The Vuelta is coming up soon as well.
Check out my "About" tab to see a slideshow of my paintings on Yupo and I've added my latest paintings using Acrylics rather than Watercolor -- can you see any differences between the two media?
