Fresh from my garden last summer I was able to create several wonderful still life photos of my roses. The buds surrounded fully open red roses but two were nestled and were ready to burst into bloom. I played around with "This Bud Is For You" as a title but I kept seeing this little crown of leaves so changed the name. The inspiration from this painting comes from my garden but also my Mother loved red roses. I really like the design and composition of this painting. Juried into the OSA Rose Show
