5th in my "Doors of France" series. We visited Saint Emilion twice on our trips to France and it is one of my favorite places in France to visit. I got to visit several wine caves and have painted them . I would love to go again and spend more time in the area. It is very lush with vineyards everywhere and there are many beautiful villas and the town itself is very picturesque. This design on the window part of this door was very interesting and caught my eye. The green was very difficult to achieve so many layers and colors were used to bring out its aged glory.
