Blue Door in Musee du Louvre
Watercolor painting on 300 lb paper Image 22 x 14 I plan on framing it Professionally (matted/framed either 29 x 21 or 30 x 22). I used transparent pigments layered to bring out the glow and beauty of the fabulous door. I identified with the "N" on buildings and doors in France because of our last name and the Nadal French ancestry. This is the 9th in my French door series. Brian Jannsen, a photographer from Portland has been living in Europe in recent years, photographed the door which I saw originally. He says the blue door at Musee du Louvre is an exterior door near Place du Carrousel - toward River Seine. I also used other photographer's photos as reference also.
