There are so many photos today that are not so beautiful in this country. I wanted to be able to portray something of the culture from several years ago before all the political changes. I imagined myself from my own experiences on river trips washing dishes in the river but never with such a beautiful sunset that was captured in this photo. It would make the chore much easier. I cropped this photo into two with the river now a separate painting
