I immediately saw three boats in the underpainting. I needed to figure out what colors to keep the basic color scheme going. I added a third color. I ended up changing more than I originally thought but am okay with the result. I love painting boats and this should satifsy the "itch" I've had for months. This goes back to a style of painting I haven't done for years but that is what came out from my heart and brush.
