This selection takes me back to my ancestry in Scotland and early American settlers in Maryland. I would love to own a pair of these shoes for just that reason -- but I'll settle for this painting for now. Maybe since there is a personal connection to the "tartan" plaid I had little trouble on this one from the start. I knew I wanted a more even webbed background using two greens, permanent red and quin magenta with the white lines added on top when I put the shoe into the background. I could rename this for St. Patrick's Day as well. What do you think? Tartan Pump 6x6 Watercolor on AquaBord 2" cradle
